September 9, 2010
Are you worried about wall mounting of your flat screen TV? No need to worry any more if you read this article. A TV wall mount bracket is the first thing you need for wall mounting of your TV.
There are three types of wall mounting of your flat screen TV which essentially depend upon the three types of wall mount brackets. The three types of wall mount brackets are low low-profile, tilting and full-motion wall mount. They have their own advantages and disadvantages as well. Let’s look at the different Flat Screen TV Wall Mounts
Low-Profile Installation of Flat TV
Comparing to other two types of mount brackets, the low-profile is the easiest one to install and also a cost-effective option. The wall mounting of a TV using a low-profile bracket is very similar to hanging a portrait on the wall. Despite being an easiest way to install, it comes with a drawback that your TV cannot be moved from its position when you wall mount it. This limitation makes it difficult when you try to change your cables. Since it’s a flat panel and mounted on a wall, you will have to physically take the TV out of the wall every time when you need to change its cables.
Tilting TV Wall Mount
These brackets cost a little more compared to low-profile wall mounts, but lower in cost as compared to the full-motion wall mounting brackets. The installation of this type of brackets is not very complicated, and akin to a low-profile mount. The key benefit that a titling wall mounting gives you that you will be able to set your vertical angle viewing, which is not possible in a low-profile mount. The tilting wall mounts have a pivot in the middle of the mounting brackets. This pivot helps to maintain a great viewing angle as per the convenience of the viewer. Changing cables is not a problem in a tilting wall mount unlike it’s in the case of low-profile mount.
Full-Motion TV Wall Mount
Full-motion TV wall mount is costlier than the two but gives you a liberty of moving your wall mounted TV as per your convenience. Other two types of the mounts are less expensive than a full-motion mount. There is a certain degree of complexity in installing this type of mount. These wall mounts are difficult to install due to the moving arms they use to have. You will certainly need 2-3 more people when you will try to wall mount your TV using full-motion mount brackets.
