Fantastic Tips On Getting People Back Into Their Homes
June 29, 2010
Who would want to be in the shoes of President Obama? Only one year in office, yet he is visibly aging in front of our very eyes! Despite his best efforts, it seems, the housing market remains stubbornly resilient and people are just not able to move into the places that they want to. The housing market is key to the resurrection of our economy, as leading economists tell us time and again. In any circumstances, the housing market must be activated, so that people can feel confident about the future. The economy will resurrect itself if people are happy and feel that they can progress and so long as the housing market is stuck, this just will not happen.
How did we arrive at this position? The housing market appeared to become overly inflated, due to some questionable decisions by lenders, and an accelerating market did seem to get out of control. Once that process came to an end, banks and mortgage lenders became increasingly recalcitrant and were not willing to consider anyone. Not that long ago, buying a home with poor credit became very difficult to achieve and even though prices fell right back, few were willing to lend.
A land contract, currently popular in various areas of Michigan and the Midwest, can certainly help to kick-start the housing market and put people back into homes. Land contracts can be great for first time home buyers with bad credit, as negotiations can take place directly between the parties and favorable conditions can be identified, leading to a satisfactory conclusion for both, rather than just a one-sided deal. Many millions of people have issues now following the recession and find that buying a house with poor credit is extremely difficult. One way or the other, either through a limitation of funds for the deposit or through a bad credit-rating, or even a foreclosure, nothing seems to move. There are a variety of situations and each one is different, but if you currently have your eye on a beautiful house in Detroit or in Grosse Pointe for example, why should you be denied the chance of owning your own home?
Bringing people together to discuss a land contract is the first step. A carefully structured agreement is paramount and both parties should be very careful to make sure that all the “t’s” are crossed and the “i’s” are dotted. Once a property has been identified and a party discovered who is willing to discuss a land contract, all the details should be revealed and lawyers consulted to give their seal of approval on the finished product. Experts are available to help you understand everything and there’s no reason why there should be a risk standing in your way of exploring these valuable opportunities. You can do your bit to help Congress and Pres. Obama get the housing market moving again by entering into a land contract and moving your own future forward at the same time. This is just one of the alternatives we should consider for the overall recovery effort and the good of our country.
