Things To Consider When You Plan To Hold A Marriage Ceremony Outdoors
June 25, 2010
They seem like characters right out of a fairytale when you spot two people happily adjoining a lifetime companionship. However, if you are the wedding planner, all you sense are the sounds of an alarm ringing in your head. You cannot help but be worried about how everything will turn out at the wedding. Despite the way you feel, planning a wedding may not be as difficult as you perceive it to be. If you plan a wedding anywhere outside, Outdoor lighting will hold a lot of significance. Usually beachside or poolside are the highly preferred choice. Therefore, you should give the complete aura an entirely exotic look. Elk lighting hung over a place where two people will exchange their marital vows would be a good idea to draw the concentration of guests to the couple. In all, you have a lot to do, so fetch your shorthand and start writing your to-do list.
• The first thing you have to think about is when you are going to arrange the ceremony. Obviously that is to be according to the bride and the groom. However, you are playing the second in command. Therefore, you should decide the appropriate weather to hold an outdoor wedding so that there is no rain forecast to ruin your arrangements.
• When you think about the weather, you should also think about the food you are going to serve. If it is a little warm, have your escorts ready to present cold drinks as soon as guests seat themselves. In a warm weather, it will be a good idea to serve cold salads containing mayonnaise.
• One of the most essential tasks is to have a second plan. What if the weather situation turned poor all of a sudden? Therefore, it is better to select an outdoor site that has an indoor location as a waiting area, just in case of such situations.
• Have your disc jockey ready. You should ensure that your sound system is heard by all. It is recommended that you call him a day before to have a small demonstration of the event. If you are holding a ceremony at the beachside, you should especially take tides and the sounds of the wind into consideration.
• When you are planning a wedding outside, you should also keep wind in your consideration. Do not use very light clothes like chiffons in your attire because they can be difficult to manage in windy conditions. Inform your hairdresser to arrange your hair according to the windy surroundings.
• Visit the location of the wedding earlier. Inspect if the grass, flowers and the ground are all in appropriate arrangement and appear natural. If you do not want to rely entirely on natural botany, it is advisable to order a few artificial plants or flowers to be kept around the whole place.
• If you are holding the wedding in slightly warm weather, it is wise not to include alcohol in your ceremony as it is dehydrating. A better option is to present non alcoholic drinks to the guests. A mint julep or mojito will be a perfect selection for this, as mint will chill the guests in the hot weather.
