Branson, Missouri is a huge tourist spot with a lot of things to do for families who are fans of country music. It is considered a more touristy version of Nashville where you may visit theme parks as well as see your favorite country acts perform. The well known country band, the Oak Ridge boys also have a theatre as well as the Osmond family that puts on a great variety show there. Much of the entertainment is centered around country performers but not all of it. You can visit Dick Clark’s, “American bandstand,” to see other types of bands as well. More technology is also being used in Branson with an IMAX theatre that is combined with a live performance theatre that is great fun for the kids to see.
Besides, musical and variety shows at live theatres, there are some other great attractions for families to go to in Branson. It has 2 big water parks to play at with your kids and to cool off if you are visiting during the warm and humid summertime. It also has 2 animal parks where you may see various creatures whether they are beautiful butterflies or more traditional animals that can be seen in a Rain forest or in the African plains. Children of all ages adore these attractions for the interactive exhibits and the exciting rides to go on as well. For those who enjoy sports, Branson has twelve championship golf courses as well as a beautiful lake located in the downtown area to enjoy.
