If you have left your home in darkness for long enough, it is time to step into the light and look at window cleaning solutions. Do away first with fixtures that will exhibit artificial illumination when there is an alternative that will not be so damaging to the pocket.
Did you know that you can indulge in your own window cleaning solutions effortlessly? It has to be said though that some people prefer to ask the pros to come over. Other people would rather do window cleaning themselves, and they can often pick up some tips from the experts. What many people don’t realise is that a window cleaner’s tool is basically his squeegee, so why can’t you do the same job as the pros?
The initial step for window cleaning solutions is to scout for materials to be used. It may be easiest if you just look round your house for what to use for window cleaning, but if you haven’t got the right stuff then it might be worth heading to the store to buy some. So what are the essentials you need? Well, a bucket and some foam are crucial and then you also need a liquid mixture.
To start with window cleaning, put a few drops of liquid mixture in a bucket full of warm water. Be careful not to put too many drops in the bucket or you could end up with a streaky window. You then need to stir the mixture well and then it will be ready to be applied. Rub the mixture on the glass panes with your foam sponge. In some cases you might find it appropriate to use a scrubber when you have some stubborn dirt to remove.
If you have some windows up high then you’ll need a telescopic pole to reach them. As anyone will tell you, cobwebs that form in the side areas of window panes can make cleaning difficult, so a good tip is to spray this area with a garden hose first and then you should find the dirt goes. If you don’t have a scrubber to hand, a worn out cloth is often very useful. Cleaning with a cloth will probably require more force and means you get a better result at the end of it all.
When finished, be sure to check that there are no droplets left on the glass panes. Make the foam and scrubber end at the base of the window to avoid streaks on the glass. Also, rather than wipe the wet areas away, letting the water evaporate is a much better solution.
