Habits form normal human behaviour.

Very often we know what we should do but rarely do these things.

For instance, how many of you exercise regularly 3 times a week? And who have exercised and now gave up doing this?

So, when we talk about commercial real estate business we can face this problem as well. This problem can be of two types. The first is laziness. A lazy commercial real estate investor has many things that keep him from achieving its actual profit. There is no doubt that if you are sitting the whole day watching TV and eating chips, your business will be damaged and you will not earn money.

So what could it lead to?

If you do not enough testing and implementation “what works” and “what does not work” you will face the problem that is called “hardening of implementation”

You should understand one important thing that if you are a coach potato and never do anything in your business or you can even be an active business owner and still never get some noticeable results that you have potential for. Both attitudes will lead you to no success.

Why?

One of the most important reasons is resistance to change. Resistance to approaches that could have the possibility to change your business, and it does not only relate to your money, it also concerns the amount of time you have for the things you really enjoy.

So, it is easy, if you are missing something that is new, you could not only miss out on large amounts of money, but also you could miss something important that can save you large amounts of time.

Take an example from my own experience. Record hot lines and massages.

When I first got to know about them, I thought it would be something that somebody else might use. For instance, a big property management company or a large apartment complex. From the very beginning I decided that I could not use this type of technology so I refused quickly from using it.

My friends and used to tell me that hotlines are great and that they use them in their business. They were recommended me. And I tried to use them, but in an awkward manner a little bit.

But you should try this and test as many other things in business. Bear in mind that your real estate commercial business should also be approached as any other business. You should not be satisfied with status quo of your real estate business, it is one of the most popular mistakes.

One of the most important things to be implemented is measuring results, or the number of units that have been rented as a result of testing the new hotlines and recorded messages. If it can bring you success, then it is worth testing different recordings to understand if results can be enhanced.

You should not have to be 100% scientific about this. All you need to do is to do the best you can. You should only implement something and test it. If it gives you some results, excellent, if you do not see any noticeable results, go on with your searching.
