Maintain A Healthy And Well Groomed Lawn
December 5, 2009
Nearly 70% of Americans claim that they are willing to go the extra mile to help the environment, however not knowing what to do is an obstacle that they face in order to put this help into action. Most of us overlook mowing, but we should know that this greatly affects the appearance of your lawn and general health. There are several mowing tips that we can take note.
By not cutting the grass too short, especially for cool season grasses. The grass will grow higher heights and will have a deeper root system that looks better and the best part is that it will prevent weeds from invading. Scalping your lawn is never a good idea either, this will just severely damage the root syustem to such a degree that it may die.
We definitely should avoid mowing when it’s already dark or when the grass is wet. After mowing, we should clean up the driveway and walkways, as the grass clippings can be washed into the sewer system if we throw them into the street and driveway.
Do not use that old gas unless you properly used a fuel stabilizer, especially in the spring when you haven’t used your equipment for some time. It’s much safer to use fresh gasoline to begin the mowing season.
Change your mower’s oil at least once during the mowing season. Check on the parts if they are working as they should. Buy Lawn Mower Blade and you should check it often to see if they are cutting your grass evenly.
